Counseling and Self Care Fund

Parents can focus so much on the best plan of care for their affected child that they overlook the toll a life limiting illness can take on themselves and their family. It’s difficult to care for others when we don’t care for ourselves. Staying mentally and physically fit through counseling and exercise helps get you through days that seem impossible while avoiding caregiver burnout. It also helps maintain and enhance the strong family relationships that you’ll need during this intense journey.
B Brave is here to help. Our counseling and self care fund lifts the financial burden of paying for this critical self care, providing outlets to decompress and be cared for. The fund covers:

  • Counseling & Therapy Sessions (examples: Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing – EMDR, Play Therapy, Bereavement Support and more.)
  • Gym membership

*Up to $500 annually

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our donors. Program availability is dependent on funding.
